Merlin PCB Group charitable golf day at Carden Park, voted the winner of England’s best Golf Hotel at the World Golf Awards.
The championship Cheshire Course offers beautiful views across the estate and Welsh Mountains. The course delivered many challenges and hazards for all participants, deceptive water features, hidden ditches, bunkers designed to catch loose shots and not to mention wayward golf buggies.
It was a great day; the weather was a little overcast but fine for golfing and there were a number of hotly contested prizes to be won on the day: individual, team, longest drive, nearest the pin and beat the pro.
There was a charity element to the day where many of Merlin’s good suppliers sponsored a hole in aid of the Wales Air Ambulance, a fantastic and generous response has raised over £2500.
Following an evening of entertaining, Merlin Circuit Technology hosted a factory open day where customers were invited to a presentation on the Merlin PCB Group activities for rigid, flex, offshore and prototype PCB production. The presentation was followed by a factory tour of the Merlin Circuit Technology facility in Deeside North Wales.
The feedback received for both days has been very positive, many keenly looking towards next year’s event.
